I’m Feeling Old!

Maddie turned 20 today. Where did the years go?

We began celebrations by going out for breakfast.

And ended with cake, presents and a bang (the balloons actually blew the candles out)!

Happy Birthday Maddie. We love you to the moon and back. xxx

I’m so glad that you all got to celebrate together. Maddie looks fabulous as does the cake and well done on getting the shot of the balloons bursting – you really are a wiz with the camera Jess xo

Thanks Amanda. Maddie had been raving about the breakfast at Ave Cucina & Cafe at Coorparoo ( apparently opened by the winners of My Kitchen Rules season 1). It is family style food reflecting their Italian/Lebanese heritage. Worth the trek and very busy – always a good sign in my books.

Sil – I would use shorter candles next time. Never thought through the balloon, flame thing!

Ave is a little Coorparoo gem isn’t it, lucky for me, just down the road. It’s a toss up with Flute Fine Food for coffee after school drop off or lunch with the girls. I will have to tell Shadi and Veronica they got the mention! I have really loved reading your blog Jess, discovered last year via My Pink Door but have only recently had a good old read. Absolutely love it- the mix of travel, family, photography and food is just lovely. Lisa
